The name Hawkspring is inspired by a photo I took many years ago of an old auto dealership in Hawksprings, Wyoming. The photo is pretty beat up and slightly mouse chewed, but it sits beside me as I type this and reminds me of a feeling, a place and time from my past and suggests a story that I've never heard but can easily imagine.
Hawkspring Photography is about creating visual products that evoke feelings and emotions and suggest stories. These stories aren't necessarily from the past and aren't necessarily even "real", whatever that means. These are stories created by the viewer from their needs, desires, dreams, and aspirations. it's not about documenting an event, it's about the experience that whoever commissioned the image wants to evoke in the mind of the viewer with the help of the viewer.
Hawkspring photography is always looking for collaborators to join the team. If you're a photographer, a model, a designer, a hair stylist, a makeup artist, a location owner, or just someone with an interesting idea then please let us know and we'll invite you to be part of the team.
