Checked out the Finley National Wildlife Refuge today. It's a nearby gem that tragically falls out of my brain too often. Beautiful all by itself and a great place for future photo shoots.
Ate breakfast at the Greenberry Tavern. A wonderful little country place that's all you might imagine it to be. Spoke briefly with the owner about using it as a set and taking some pictures for their use. She seemed positively inclined.
Tentatively teed up showing some of my work in a local eatery sometime in mid-2018. That will be a first.
The Instagram experiment continues. One way to get a bazillion likes on a single image is to promote it to India, but there doesn't seem to have been any effect on followers, profile views or click-thrus.
Sent forms and questions to a new model I'm shooting with next Tuesday. I always ask for an email address. I use it to share agreement forms, ask a few questions related to why they like modeling, and share proofs with them using Google photos.
Discovered that my next available weekend shoot day is Dec. 2. I may get to shoot a model that I've shot with several times before on that day if she's up for it. I have no idea how this happened, but fall is a busy season.
The rains are coming so began setting up the studio for shoots on Sunday and Tuesday. I'm branching out from my normal solid white and solid black back to a solid gray backdrop. Hold me back. I may be getting too crazy.
Tried submitting a people photo to Adobe Stock. We'll see how it goes.
Did a shoot with Queue last night at a new location near Wren, Oregon. Queue is new to Oregon, but has been modeling for about five years. She's easy to work with and very much into co-creation. In other lives, she's a yoga instructor and a circus performer. This was a trial shoot and I hope we'll be able to do more. The house in Wren is fun. Wonderful views of Mary's Peak over vineyards. Open design with an internal balcony. Lots of statuary and other art. I'd definitely like to shoot there again.
